According to the case file published on the official website of the Orange County, Florida, Clerk of Court, defendant Ngo Lynda Trang Dai Le (singer Lynda Trang Dai) was accused of committing theft of property.
Accordingly, on January 5, in Orlando, Florida, defendant Ngo Lynda Trang Dai Le committed the act of appropriating property belonging to the group of goods, agricultural products or means of transport with a value of 100 - 750 USD (about 2.5 - 18.8 million VND). Based on the collected evidence, the Orlando Police Department executed an arrest warrant for Trang Dai.
The case file was transferred to Orlando Criminal Court on January 6 for legal proceedings.
Pursuant to Florida Penal Code Section 812.014(2)(F), the alleged offense is classified as “theft of property in the first degree,” a misdemeanor under the state’s legal system. The case is currently being handled by a judge in the Criminal Division A, with attorney Joel Leppard representing the defendant.
According to the report, Lynda Trang Dai entered a store at The Mall at Millenia on January 4 to buy two bottles of perfume. While paying, she took an Airpod wallet accessory worth $330 (about 8.3 million VND) from the display counter, hid it under her wallet and phone, and left the store. Trang Dai was criminally prosecuted because she is not a resident of the county.
After being arrested for investigation, on January 6, Lynda Trang Dai paid $1,000 (about 25 million VND) in bail and was released.
