Tai Linh always misses and loves her hometown audience - those who follow and support her throughout her artistic journey. According to the female artist, the love and encouragement of the audience is the greatest motivation for her to continue to improve her profession. "The love of the audience in her hometown is the strongest motivation for Linh to try her best in the profession," she shared.
With the most memorable role, Tai Linh mentioned the character Ly Than Phi in "Bich Van Cung Ky An", a play written by artist Thanh Tong. This is a role that does not have a magnificent and brilliant image like the familiar princess roles on the Cai Luong stage, but an old woman living in poverty in a brick kiln, wandering for 18 years, enduring many upheavals before meeting her child again.
According to Tai Linh, that difference made her worried when accepting. The female artist said that initially she told playwright Thanh Tong that she did not dare to take on this role. "Linh once told Thanh Tong that she did not dare to accept, because this is an old role, and full of inner feelings, not her familiar type of role," she recalled.
The character Ly Than Phi is the image of a wandering mother, living in poverty but still maintaining the modesty and majesty inherent to a mother. Transforming into a hard-working old woman with many psychological torments was considered a big challenge for Tai Linh at that time. She was worried that she did not have enough experience and "maturity" to fully express the depth of the character.
However, the encouragement from artist Thanh Tong helped the female artist change her decision. He encouraged her to try her hand and believed that she could handle the role. After much consideration, Tai Linh agreed to accept the role and this is also one of the roles that the audience remembers most when talking about her name.
The female artist said that the role of Ly Than Phi is not only a professional mark but also a deep memory in her artistic journey. "That is a very favorite role in Linh's artistic life," she said.
To this day, after many years of attachment to the Cai Luong stage, Tai Linh still considers "Bich Van Cung Ky An" an important milestone in her career. For her, that role is associated with the trust of colleagues and the persistent support of the audience for traditional art.
