"Mua thuy" is a series of music combined with movies and plays, famous in the 1990s in Vietnam. As a phenomenon in the entertainment industry at that time, "Mua dust" gathered a group of famous artists in different art fields.
After 25 years, the "Mua Dust" artists of that day have changed a lot. Some are still devoted to art, some are in trouble, some leave showbiz in seclusion...
Sy Ben
Sy Ben was born in 1967, is of Vietnamese origin. He emerged after participating in the music video for "Mua thuy", called "Le Minh Viet Nam" by the press.
The famous Chinese music star of the "Dust River" series is currently living in a 10 m2 rented room. For many years, Sy Ben has lived on sand-shaped wedding singing, sometimes a few months before having a show, each show costs about 2-3 million VND.
After a period of debt piled up due to business losses in his youth, Sy Ben no longer has savings or valuable assets other than the old motorbike given by his adopted daughter.
At the age of 58, Sy Ben's health is weak, diabetes is getting worse due to not treating him regularly.
Ha Phuong
Singer Ha Phuong's career was not as successful as Ms. Cam Ly or her younger sister Minh Tuyet, but in return, her private life was fulfilling.
After "Mua thuy", she maintained her artistic activities and was a prominent singer of the folk song genre - her hometown. She is married to billionaire Chinh Chu and currently lives happily with her husband and two children in the US.
Regarding her current life, Ha Phuong still releases some new songs and often returns to Vietnam to visit her family; only participates in some domestic entertainment events.
Dinh Van
In the years 1980 to 1990, Dinh Van emerged as a phenomenon. He is affectionately called "The dust Prince" by the audience.
The male singer participated in dust 1 and dust 2 and dust 3 and was warmly welcomed by the audience. The unforgettable mark from "Mua thuy" has helped Dinh Van gain the favor of many fans.
When "Mua Abi" gradually cooled down, it was also the time Dinh Van stepped back to his composing role. Abiding in the spotlight, refusing invitations from big and small programs, Dinh Van only appeared sparingly.
Not long ago, Dinh Van returned to a TV game show to meet the audience.
Currently, he is happy with his family life with his young wife.
Tai Linh
In the 1990s, Tai Linh emerged as a phenomenon. She participated in the plays: Than Nu Thuong Thu linh ki, Tinh Nuoc Duyen Trang...
Originally a street artist, as soon as she appeared in the album "Mua thuy 1", Tai Linh was welcomed by the audience. She and singer Dinh Van sang "Sao thay dinh" sweetly and passionately. At that time, she was known as the "Queen of only discs".
Becoming a top artist, Tai Linh's life is simple. After a period of working in the arts, Tai Linh has mostly gone into hiding and withdrawn from showbiz. She currently lives in the US with her family.
The last time she returned to Vietnam was around the time of the late artist Vu Linh - her stage lover - passed away.
Meritorious Artist Bao Quoc
Bao Quoc once made an impression when participating in "Mua thuy". He became famous in the performing and comedy stage.
After many years of settling in the US, not long ago, he returned to Vietnam to perform the live show " Meritorious Artist Bao Quoc - More than 60 years of fun and sadness on stage".
Currently, he is in his 80s, having a happy life with his family.
In addition to the above names, the series "Dust River" also features Phuong Thanh, Hong Van, Minh Nhi... They are currently famous stars, working tirelessly in the arts.
