On March 5, 2025, Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Bui Dinh Long said that he had just signed and issued a Plan to organize the Sen Village Festival in 2025 to celebrate the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1990 - May 19, 2025).
In the ceremony, in addition to traditional rituals such as offering flowers and incense at Ho Chi Minh Square, Kim Lien Relic Site and Chung Son Temple; the Photo Carrying Ceremony from President Ho Chi Minh Memorial Site to Lang Sen Stadium, this year's festival also has additional activities, especially the inauguration ceremony of the "Uncle Ho Comes Home" Monument (held at the opening ceremony of the festival on May 9 at Lang Sen Stadium, Kim Lien Commune, Nam Dan District) and the inauguration of the 9-storey Waterfall project at Ba Hoang Thi Loan Tomb.
Regarding the festival, this year's festival has many new points. The online photo contest "Hello hometown Uncle Ho" will contribute to promoting the image of Nghe An to the public.
For the first time, the Miss Tourism contest " Sen" was held to honor the beauty of Nghe An people and culture.
In addition, traditional activities such as the Sen Village Sports Festival, Sen Cuisine Space, rural markets... along with many unique art programs will bring a vibrant and attractive atmosphere to the festival.
Along with that, the art program "From Sen Village to Ho Chi Minh City" taking place on the closing night of May 19 at Ho Chi Minh Square promises to be an impressive highlight, concluding the event series with touching melodies and images about Uncle Ho's life and career.
According to Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Bui Dinh Long, the 2025 Sen Village Festival is not only an occasion to commemorate and express gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh but also an opportunity to promote the image of Nghe An to domestic and international friends.
