In a conversation with Lao Dong reporter, People's Artist Thanh Lam said that throughout her singing career spanning many decades, she has sung many good songs, each of which left a lot of emotions.
“But if I had to choose my three most favorite songs, I would choose my father’s song “Farewell to the Sunset”, musician Pho Duc Phuong’s song “Cannot and Possible” and musician Thanh Tung’s song “Giot Nang Ben Nghien”. These are three songs that have a special mark on me personally,” said People’s Artist Thanh Lam.

In 2024, People's Artist Thanh Lam made her mark with many turning points, she participated in the music reality show Our Song - Our Song. In the near future, People's Artist Thanh Lam plans to release her personal product, a new CD titled "The Movie".
At Our Song, People's Artist Thanh Lam brought a sensational image when she was humorous, funny, and interacted with MC Tran Thanh.
“When watching the show, the people who were most surprised were my children. They told me, “The audience praised my mother for being humorous and witty. In fact, the audience rarely has the opportunity to be close to their mother or live with her. But if they lived with her like us, they would see that she is the mother of everyday life.”
That is me when I live with my children, relatives and friends. The long-running “Our Song” has become an opportunity for me to get closer to the audience through my real life, it is also an opportunity for the audience to understand me better, to see a different image of me, not just serious and reserved like before.
Having to participate in a reality show that was filmed for 3-4 months, I had the opportunity to express myself more clearly and simply, and I was able to express my feelings and appreciation for my colleagues participating in the show" - Thanh Lam shared.
Referring to the explosion of music reality TV shows in 2024, People's Artist Thanh Lam said that these are very positive signals, creating momentum for the performance industry to develop.
“I only see one small problem, which is that the programs are more focused on entertainment than art. Perhaps there should be a better balance between art and entertainment, and more investment in music. Because beyond the noise and flashiness, music is also calm, profound, bringing human values and life lessons” – People’s Artist Thanh Lam expressed her opinion.
