Behind the title of "national father" of Vietnamese cinema and the silent contributions to art of NSND Trung Anh, there is always the shadow of a solid rear. That is his wife who is 10 years younger than him, who has gone through the ups and downs with the male artist to keep the fire for the family home.
Sharing with Lao Dong reporters, People's Artist Trung Anh moved many people when he confided that if there is a next life, he still wants to continue to marry his partner.
My life, so that I can wholeheartedly work, is thanks to the support of my family. I remember when we first met and got to know each other, I said to my wife "You do this job but you don't have as many advantages as others, both in terms of appearance and expertise. So if you follow this path, you must be very focused to survive".
My wife remembers that sentence and has put all her heart into taking care of family matters so that I am not burdened," NSND Trung Anh confided.
Although married to a famous star, NSND Trung Anh's wife and two children chose a rather private life and 2 children have no intention of entering art.
The humorous male artist recounted that his two children from a young age did not like acting and no one followed their father's profession when they grew up. Even when going out, seeing their father recognized by the audience and asked to take souvenir photos, his children sometimes felt... annoyed.
The fame of the pillar of the family is welcomed very naturally and simply. The male artist said that his wife and children only watch movies he acts in when they are really free or have suitable conditions, without any special favor or praise.
It is this peaceful family space, separated from the limelight, that is where People's Artist Trung Anh finds balance after long days of hard work on the film set.
Stepping out of the camera lens, People's Artist Trung Anh admitted that he is no different from other normal husbands and fathers in society.
He affirmed that fame is just an effect from work, but the nature of his person is still the same when he returns home. The male artist did not hesitate to reveal his clumsiness humorously when sharing that he does housework very clumsily, to the point that after cooking or washing vegetables, his wife has to redo it all or complain that it takes time.
When putting on the scale four factors including family, reputation, role and audience, People's Artist Trung Anh immediately affirmed the sole position of the home.
People's Artist Trung Anh said: "I think I'm just like other fathers. Surely family is number one. Then is the audience, because there must be an audience to have me, if I act or act in movies and no one sees, what's the point of doing it? Next is the role, and finally the fame - because fame is just the effect from work and the roles I bring.
The respect for the family and the understanding of the silent sacrifices of the spouse is the bond that helps the relationship between husband and wife to be always strong over the years.
People's Artist Trung Anh was born in 1961, used to work at the Vietnam Drama Theater before retiring.
Currently, he is still participating in film projects and teaching at Hanoi University of Theater & Cinema. In recent years, People's Artist Trung Anh has impressed television audiences with films: "The Judge", "Go Home, Son", "Loving the Sunny Day", "Intelligence Battle...".
