From the US, Kieu Anh shared with Lao Dong reporters beautiful memories, special experiences that she had never had.
Meritorious Artist Kieu Anh is in the US in the passionate World Cup atmosphere. Are you planning to go to the US to watch the World Cup or combine many things at the same time?
- I made an appointment with a friend to go to the US and coincidentally coincided with the US hosting the World Cup. We came to the US both to travel, experience and combine watching football. This is my first time going to the US, so there are still many surprises. I have a friend in the US, so the itinerary and location are all arranged by you.
The trip brought me many special memories. I enjoyed and visited many places in the US, including Hollywood studios.
I have also followed football for many years. I want to go to the stadium to enjoy the atmosphere. My whole delegation and the Vietnamese community in the US went to watch football together, there were nearly 30 people, so it was very crowded and fun. The atmosphere in the stadium really overwhelmed me.
You went to the Los Angeles stadium to watch the match between Switzerland and Bosnia & Herzegovina. How can you describe the feeling of sitting at the stadium watching the World Cup match live?
- Los Angeles Stadium is too beautiful, spacious and magnificent. Even though I sit in a high position, my eyesight is still very beautiful, very different from watching on the screen. The heat on the field and the fans in the stands is great. When watching the World Cup, many fans from different countries also come to watch, they cheer for both teams, so they celebrate every goal.
The special thing is that after the match, although there were tens of thousands of people, traffic was very smooth, without congestion. That was an interesting experience.
I always like the experiences I get at the stadiums. When sitting in a stadium in the US, I remember the beautiful emotions I once had.
I have participated in organizing many major sports events in Vietnam such as the SEA Games or the welcoming ceremony for the U23 Vietnam team returning from Changzhou.
I once experienced the feeling of standing in the middle of the stadium and being surrounded by cheering audiences. The feeling of standing in the middle of the stadium is very sublime, special and unforgettable.
So, what is the feeling of sitting in a "grand" stadium watching a mid-season match of the biggest football season on the planet?
- My group of friends and I arrived at the stadium close to the schedule, so when we entered the stands, the match had already started. During break time, I took advantage of taking a few photos. But everyone in the crew is not a professional photographer, so we have to take pictures again and again to have a few photos to post (laughs).
In the second half of the match, there were many beautiful goals contributed by both teams. The atmosphere in the stadium was extremely lively.
Indeed, when sitting at the US stadium to watch a top match with my own eyes, I enjoyed every moment.
That atmosphere reminds me of the days of watching football with friends at university. At that time, in each World Cup season, I really liked the Argentina and Italy teams. But, it seems that with the World Cup, I am just... "mass fans" (laughs).
My whole youth, I dedicated to the Vietnamese team. In my heart, I am a loyal fan of the Vietnamese team.
The whole world is talking about Messi, Ronaldo, Mbappe... According to your observation, what do the Americans and the delegation with you say about the World Cup and the superstars at this tournament?
- My delegation all loves football. We eat, play and then gather to watch the World Cup. Almost 50% of our conversations revolve around football. Especially the matches where Messi scores.
When going to the stadium in the US to watch the World Cup, my friends also brought Messi's shirts to wear for photos.
I intended to buy Ronaldo's jersey but arrived at the stadium too late so I didn't have time to buy it. Although I had Messi's jersey available, I didn't wear it because my son liked Ronaldo, I wore Messi's jersey because I was afraid he would be sad. In the US, fans support Messi, Ronaldo, Mbappe a lot.
What experiences did this special trip bring to Meritorious Artist Kieu Anh?
- This is a surprise trip, not in my annual plan. I have a friend who returned to Vietnam and invited me to the US to play. Before Tet, we met and in June, I arranged time so I decided to go with friends. I experienced many new and interesting things in 20 days.
I visited a few sea areas in the US, for some reason, although they planned very well, I found Vietnamese sea is still more beautiful (laughs). However, the weather here is great, cool, no need to turn on fans or air conditioners. That is what I really like and enjoy in this trip.
Although the time zone is different, luckily my health is still stable. When I first came to the US, I got acquainted with the time zone, weather and cuisine in the US. It's just a pity that I didn't bring my driver's license to have more experience driving to the market and sightseeing.
The story about Messi's jersey, although she liked it very much, she was afraid to wear it because she was afraid her son would be sad. In everyday life, what kind of mother are you in your son's eyes?
- My son and I share a lot in life. My parenting method is to always be by my son's side, accompany him, and choose to grow up with him, not to force or teach him.
My son has two things that always make me extremely touched. First, he absolutely protects his mother's sleep. Second, when I am tired or sick, as soon as he sees his mother coughing, he immediately goes to get water. Once, he even covered the porridge himself, blew it to cool and fed it to his mother.
For Meritorious Artist Kieu Anh, she currently has a stable and peaceful life. What brings you peace of mind?
- I try to live for myself more. When I was young, I turned to the outside, worried about others, sometimes becoming considerate and enthusiastic. As I grew up, I realized I didn't have enough time, not enough energy to live for others too much. I still love everyone, but also remember to love myself.
How can your happiness be defined now?
- I think it's very simple! Simply, not having an incident is happiness. I see a good job, health, loved ones to love, trying to help as many people as possible.
Life is not always as we want, not everything is according to our wishes. Let's think differently to make things more optimistic and positive.
We are willing, but that does not mean we can live however we want. Just expect, just make money, just succeed.
