In the early morning of June 27, a truck traveling on National Highway 37 suddenly lost control, plunged into a negative slope about 20m deep, killing 2 people and injuring 1 person.
According to initial information, at about 1 am on June 27, at Km416+350 National Highway 37, the section passing through Cao Da 1 village, Bac Yen commune, Son La province, a serious traffic accident occurred.
At the above time, a truck with license plate 19B-149.94 traveling in the direction of Bac Yen commune to Mai Son suddenly plunged into the negative slope.
There were 3 people in the car including Mr. N.N.Q (born 1976), Mr. N.N.H (born 2007), both residing in Nhan Ly village, Te Lo commune, Phu Tho province and one person whose identity has not been determined.


The consequence of the accident was that Mr. N.N.H was injured and taken to Bac Yen General Hospital for emergency treatment. The other two people died.
Immediately after receiving the news, the leaders of Son La Provincial Police directly directed functional forces to urgently arrive at the scene.
Units including the Traffic Police Department, the Fire and Rescue Police Department, the Investigation Police Agency Office, Bac Yen Commune Police and related forces have deployed rescue work, taken victims to the emergency room, protected the scene and diverted traffic.
According to initial assessments by functional agencies, the cause of the accident was that the driver drove the vehicle not in the correct lane, did not control the steering wheel, leading to crashing into the soft protective strip on the left side of the road and then plunging into a negative slope about 20m deep.
Currently, the cause of the incident is being further investigated and clarified by functional agencies.
