Reached the finish line with revenue of over 9,000 billion VND
In 2024, the Department of Tourism successfully organized the 10th Anniversary Celebration of Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex being recognized by UNESCO as a world cultural and natural heritage (2014-2024); Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2024; Trang An - Cuc Phuong Hot Air Balloon Festival; Ninh Binh Tourism Culinary Competition 2024... thereby attracting a large number of tourists to Ninh Binh.
Mr. Bui Van Manh - Director of Ninh Binh Provincial Department of Tourism - said that in 2024, the whole province welcomed over 8.7 million visitors, exceeding the plan by 16%, up nearly 30% compared to 2023. Of which, domestic visitors were 7.2 million and international visitors were over 1.5 million. Revenue is estimated at VND 9,100 billion, up 40.15% compared to 2023.
According to Mr. Manh, in 2025, Ninh Binh tourism industry will continue to strongly implement solutions, mobilize the participation of all levels, sectors and business community, to achieve tourism development goals, making Ninh Binh one of the leading tourist centers in the Red River Delta region and the whole country.
“In 2025, Ninh Binh aims to welcome 9.1 million visitors, continue to invest in infrastructure, develop unique tourism products and apply digital transformation. Aiming for sustainable tourism associated with heritage conservation and improving service quality, the province strives to become a major tourist center in the region and the country by 2030,” Mr. Manh shared.
Exploiting cultural resources to develop tourism economy
In Ninh Binh province, there are currently 3 special national relics, 78 national relics, 314 provincial relics, 1 world cultural and natural heritage and 4 national intangible cultural heritages. In localities in the province, many communities still preserve many customs, festivals... creating richness, diversity and richness of cultural resources.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong - Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ninh Binh province - shared that unique and diverse cultural resources allow the province to take confident and steady steps in shaping the "brand" of Ninh Binh on the national tourism map.
In 2024, the Department of Culture and Sports successfully organized 71 cultural and sports events, including 50 cultural events and 21 sports events. “These are events that highlight the unique cultural features and unique brand of the ancient capital of Hoa Lu. These products have been creating the mark of “local brand positioning” of Ninh Binh on the national and international cultural and tourism map,” Mr. Cuong affirmed.
According to Mr. Cuong, in 2025, the department will continue to advise on the development of a national project on research, conservation and promotion of the value of the ancient land, the world cultural and natural heritage of Trang An and the ancient capital of Hoa Lu. At the same time, submit to the Provincial People's Committee to promulgate and implement the development of a dossier to propose the inscription of the Stele System at the Special National Monument of Non Nuoc Mountain into the List of Documentary Heritage of the Asia-Pacific region.
