On the occasion of the premiere of the Tet movie "God-given Treasure", Phuong Anh Dao shared about the project that helped her be loved by the audience, which is the movie "Mai" directed by Tran Thanh.
Actually, from the beginning of my career until now, I have always hoped that each role I introduce continuously to the audience must be different. I want my career journey to be more "multicolored".
After "Mai", I have expectations that the characters who will be transformed later must be very real. When making a film, you must love the characters, you must live in the world of the characters to be able to portray them. Therefore, after a film ends, I myself also need time to "peace" myself, wrap up emotions, like saying goodbye to my role.
During that time, I also received some invitations. But when I read and saw that there was a character with a similar fate to the roles I used to play, I refused. That's why I haven't returned immediately. I'm waiting for another character - and also true to my initial wish: gentler, more cheerful and with a ending that makes me happier" - she shared.
Talking about her new role in the movie "God-given Treasure" and the pressure to surpass the revenue of the movie "Mai" of more than 500 billion VND, the actress said: "I think it is impossible to put two different stories under the same conditions to compare. Each film has its own destiny, each crew creates its own achievements. "Mai" has "Mai"'s own success, and "God-given Treasure" will also be the same.
If in life you always just want "more, more", then that is unlikely to happen. Life must have times of going up, times of turning this way, turning that way. The important thing is how to be the happiest, how to move to be the most satisfied.
My only motivation when coming to the film set is to do my role as an actor well: acting and contributing to the story. I believe that "God-given treasure" is suitable for Tet audiences because it is like a "feast" with many dishes: family, emotions, laughter... Everyone can find something that suits them.
