On the afternoon of February 16, representatives of Project Management Board 5 (Ministry of Construction) - the unit organizing and managing the project to upgrade and renovate National Highway 28B - said that by noon of the same day, the situation of peeling and damaged gravel pavement on National Highway 28B section km40 - km41 through Dai Ninh pass had been overcome.
Currently, vehicles have returned to normal traffic.

Previously, on February 14 and 15, at this location (belonging to Phan Son commune, Lam Dong province), a situation occurred where the graded layer under construction peeled off, causing many vehicles passing by to skid. Vehicles behind had to queue, causing prolonged congestion.

At the time near Tet, the volume of vehicles increases, and vehicles traveling in both directions jostle through congested areas, making the traffic situation even more complicated.

According to Project Management Board 5, the route section is under construction to excavate and adjust the route, so the contractor temporarily spreads a layer of crushed stone to create a surface for vehicles to circulate.
However, in recent days, the number of vehicles has increased sharply, causing the aggregate layer to quickly peel off, and the road surface to degrade. Faced with this situation, Project Management Board 5 has requested the construction unit to urgently fix it.

Dozens of vehicles and workers were mobilized to the scene to level the damaged aggregate layer, creating a flat road surface for vehicles to move conveniently.
At the same time, watering trucks are used to reduce dust during traffic.

By noon on February 16, the remediation work was basically completed.
Timely handling of damaged road sections helps ensure smooth traffic on National Highway 28B through Dai Ninh Pass during the peak travel period during Tet.
