On the evening of May 9, at My Dinh F1 racetrack (Hanoi), Sao Nhap Ngu Concert 2026 officially took place in front of tens of thousands of spectators with a series of opening performances imbued with historical, military and youth colors.
Not following the usual entertainment concert motif, the program opens with a modernly arranged revolutionary medley, combined with a large-scale reality stage, thousands of special forces soldiers and parade blocks appear throughout.
Opening the night was a medley of "Green Leaves" - "National Guard Team" - "Len Dang" performed by Sao Nhap Ngu artists.
In the space of bright red light and LED effects covering the stage, tens of thousands of spectators simultaneously stood up to harmonize with familiar melodies.
Dong Nhi and Phuong My Chi continued to stir up the atmosphere with the series of performances "Saigon Girl Going to Carry Bullets", "Girl Opening the Road" and "Song of Sewing Clothes".
The combination of revolutionary music material with modern performance style creates an atmosphere that is both heroic and youthful.
Phuong My Chi revealed that this is the first time she and her senior have the opportunity to duet together on a stage.
Continuing the program, Duong Hoang Yen and Double2T brought the performance "Cô gái vót chông" with a new arrangement, combining rap and folk instruments.
One of the performances that made the stage explode the most at the beginning of the program was the medley "5 brothers on a tank" - "Batalion 307" - "Coming to Saigon" performed by Quoc Thien, Phan Manh Quynh, Anh Tu, Double2T and Kay Tran, combined with military equipment performance.
However, the biggest surprise moment for the audience was the appearance of NSND Quang Tho in the song "Ho keo phao".
Previously, the organizers did not reveal the appearance of People's Artist Quang Tho in the announced lineup list of Sao Nhap Ngu Concert 2026.
Considered one of the iconic voices of Vietnamese revolutionary music, NSND Quang Tho brought a powerful performance with "Ho keo phao" - a song associated with the Dien Bien Phu victory and the spirit of Vietnamese soldiers.
The sudden appearance of the male artist is considered one of the most touching highlights at the beginning of the program, creating a special connection between many generations of audiences at the concert night.
