On May 9, information from Cam Thuy Commune People's Committee said that in the early morning of the same day, a landslide occurred in the area, damaging some property of households.

Specifically, at about 4 am on May 9, a large rock weighing dozens of tons from the mountain landslide and fell on the kitchen of Ms. Nguyen Thi Tham's family (40 years old, residing in Duong Dinh Hue village, Cam Thuy commune).
At this time, Ms. Tham and her 3 children were sleeping in the house when they heard a loud rock collapse from behind. Fortunately, the rock rolled down the kitchen area and stopped, causing the kitchen to collapse completely but without causing any casualties.
In addition to causing damage to Ms. Tham's family, rocks from the landslide also fell into the gardens of 2 other households in the village.
Immediately after the incident occurred, Cam Thuy Commune People's Committee mobilized forces to urgently relocate people and property of 3 households in Duong Dinh Hue village out of the dangerous area.
Functional forces also stretched ropes and placed warning signs in the landslide area, and at the same time reported to functional agencies of Thanh Hoa province to have handling plans to ensure safety for people.
