According to the latest update from Spotify Korea, the song "REDRED" - the title track in CORTIS's second mini album - continues to top the Daily Top Songs Korea chart.
With this achievement, "REDRED" has held the championship title for 70 days, officially setting a record as the song of a K-pop group with the longest time at the top of the chart on Spotify Korea since 2021.
Previously, the song first reached number 1 on April 27. By June 20, "REDRED" had reached the 50-day leading milestone, and also set a record for the male group's song with the most days at the top on this platform. In less than a month, CORTIS continued to raise the achievement to 70 days.
Not only dominating the daily charts, "REDRED" also maintained the No. 1 position on the Weekly Top Songs Korea chart for 11 consecutive weeks, as of the week from September 3rd. 7. This shows the stable appeal of the song, despite competition from many K-pop artists in the summer.
Besides the achievement in listens, the number of monthly listeners of CORTIS on Spotify also grew strongly, reaching 12.67 million accounts. This is considered a sign that the group's influence is expanding not only in Korea but also in the international market.
According to Korean media, the success of CORTIS also created a cultural effect with the phrase "Young Creator Crew" used by the online community to refer to the young generation of artists who are capable of self-composing and producing music.
Right from the debut album to the second mini album, all CORTIS members participated in the process of composing, writing lyrics and producing songs. The musical style with its own colors is considered one of the factors helping the group make a mark on online music platforms.
In the near future, CORTIS will continue to meet fans through their first solo tour called "Put Your Phone Down". Two opening nights will take place on July 18 and 19 at Inspire Arena (Incheon, Korea), marking a new milestone in the group's journey.
