For many years, the Na Sam - Ban No road in Giang village (old Lang Giang commune, now Van Ban commune) has been a road for dozens of households to travel and transport agricultural products.
Due to serious degradation, muddy in the rainy season, dusty in the dry season, people's travel is very difficult.
In 2023, the road was approved, invested by the People's Committee of Lang Giang commune (old), with a length of about 1.67km, total cost of nearly 2 billion VND.

When there was a policy to build roads, people agreed to donate land, clear ground and contribute socialized funds with the desire to soon have a solid road.
However, according to feedback sent to Lao Dong Newspaper, after nearly 3 years, the project has only been constructed about 200m and then stopped.
Notably, people believe that the project has been paid about 700 million VND, while the actual completed volume is very small.

Mr. Nguyen Van Toan (Giang village, Van Ban commune) reflected: "The commune's report at the recent working session also shows a very large payment value. Meanwhile, the project has only been built about 200m, so I don't know how they are constructing".
According to people, in addition to budget capital, people also contribute hundreds of millions of VND in socialization funds, averaging more than 1.3 million VND per household. Some poor households still have to borrow to pay with the hope of soon having a new road.
Up to now, the road is still not finished, traveling is very difficult, affecting production and economic development of the whole village," Mr. Toan complained.

In addition to the slow progress, people also believe that the road section has been constructed using stream stone instead of materials according to the approved dossier, so they request functional agencies to inspect and clarify.
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Trieu Van Hiep - Head of Giang village confirmed that the road has only been constructed for about 200m and then stopped.
According to Mr. Hiep, the entire site has been donated and handed over by people for a long time. People have also contributed socialization funds, each household over 1 million VND.
This road is not too long and not of great value, but it is the aspiration of the people. When there is an investment decision, people are extremely excited because they think there will be a new road soon.
But until now, the project is still unfinished, the road is bad, and traveling is very difficult, so people are very upset and disappointed," Mr. Hiep added.

Mr. Hiep said that, according to the information he has grasped, the project has been disbursed about 700 million VND, but the construction is still stopped. People in the village have also repeatedly wondered about the quality of materials used in the road section that has been built.
If it is not resolved in the near future, people will continue to have petitions to higher levels," the village head said.

Regarding people's reflections, Mr. Vu Xuan Thuy - Chairman of Van Ban Commune People's Committee said that the project dossier invested by Lang Giang Commune People's Committee (old) is currently being handed over to the new commune after arranging administrative units.
I have assigned the Economic Department to go down to inspect the actual site, accurately determine the volume of construction, compare documents, and clarify the contents reflected by the people. After having the results, the commune will inform the press," Mr. Thuy said.
