When talking about the movie "The Underworld Beauty Salon", the female supermodel emphasized that the film exploiting spiritual elements does not mean promoting superstition.
According to her, the crew aims to build a story with mysterious colors, while incorporating folk cultural elements to increase authenticity. "I do not convey superstitious messages, but only borrow spiritual material as part of a film story," Xuan Lan shared.
In the movie, Xuan Lan plays the beauty salon owner named Xuan - a character related to the rituals of the underworld and evil arts, directly confronting the character Thanh played by Ngoc Trinh. Cold image, sharp eyes and ritual scenes make her role the focus of attention right from when the crew announced it.
Explaining the "reality" in the worshiping scenes, Xuan Lan said that she learned about Mother Goddess Religion and learned from traditional cultural elements to portray the role more convincingly. However, she emphasized the clear boundaries between cultural research and personal beliefs.

Besides the spiritual element, Xuan Lan also shared about the difficulties in the filming process.
