Kasim Hoang Vu, real name Nguyen Duc Hoang Vu, was born in 1980 in Da Nang. He has Vietnamese and Egyptian blood, when his father was Egyptian and his mother was rock singer Bich Phuong, who was known to the audience in the 1980s. Growing up in the music environment, he early revealed his passion for singing and pursued the path of art from quite early on.
In the late 1990s, the male singer began to be noticed when he participated in the National Television Singing Festival in 1999. Although he did not achieve high achievements, this was considered an important starting point to help him step into the professional music path. A major turning point in Kasim Hoang Vu's career came in 2004 when he won the Most Favorite Singer award voted by the audience at the Sao Mai Rendezvous program. This victory helped his name quickly become widely known by the audience, becoming one of the musical phenomena of that time.
