According to People, Gabrielle Henry was taken to the hospital by the organizers immediately after her leg loss, she was lucky not to break her bones. Newsweek reported that the beauty "had no life-threatening injuries but had to monitor her health."
Mr. Raul Rocha, President of Miss Universe, updated the health status of the Jamaica beauty: "I want to share with the Miss Universe fan community that at 0:00 am (Tran Bangkok time), I just left the hospital where she was being cared for.
I was there with my family and Gabrielle, luckily, she did not have a broken bone and is being taken care of carefully. She will continue to be monitored and we will keep in touch with her family for support when needed."
Gabrielle Henry, 28, was crowned Miss Universe Jamaica in August. She is an ophthalmologist, working at the University Hospital of the West indies (UWI), Jamaica.
In addition, she is also a social activist, running a fund called the See Me Foundation, supporting the blind and reducing vision appropriately. She loves taking care of trees.
On the semi-final night of Miss Universe 2025, Gabrielle Henry was commented to have a confident performance in both the swimsuit and evening gown competitions.
After the semi-finals, the judges will select 29 contestants, along with one contestant in the top 30 voted by the audience. The results will be announced in the final round taking place on the morning of November 21, from the top 30, the judges will continue to choose the top 12 (instead of the 10 variations from previous years), top 5, top 3 (including one beauty queen and two runners-up).
