On August 18, information from Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee said that after considering the submission of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dau Thanh Tung agreed on the necessity of researching and proposing to develop the Lam Kinh Festival into a cultural industrial product serving tourism development.
According to the Provincial People's Committee, the research and development of the project aims to concretize the policy of developing culture and cultural industry associated with tourism development.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is assigned to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies, units, and localities to continue reviewing and completing proposal dossiers.
In which, specialized agencies must specifically determine the legal basis, authority, order and procedures for the development, appraisal, and approval of the project.
In case the law has regulations on the order, procedures, and authority for the proposed project type, the implementation must be carried out in accordance with current regulations.
Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee also noted that if the law does not stipulate that a decision of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee must be issued on "unifying the policy of building the Project", then it is not proposed to issue a separate decision on this content.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism must complete the dossier, propose appropriate forms of handling, within its authority, in accordance with the law and not cause additional procedures outside regulations.
After completing the above contents, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism reports to the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee for consideration and direction according to regulations.

Lam Kinh Festival is held on the occasion of August 21-22 of the lunar calendar every year, associated with activities to commemorate National Hero Le Loi, the Le dynasty kings, generals and soldiers and those who contributed to the Lam Son uprising. The festival brings elements of royal culture combined with community culture, along with many traditional folk activities and performances.
