On January 31, the Da Nang Museum of Fine Arts will coordinate with the family of painter Le Ba Dang to organize the opening of a thematic exhibition with the theme "Horses and Flowers in Le Ba Dang's creations".
This is a key cultural event to honor the career and great contributions of famous painter Le Ba Dang - one of the typical faces of modern Vietnamese fine arts, who has been honored by the world with many prestigious awards in the US, UK and France.
According to the organizers, the exhibition will introduce more than 80 typical works, diverse in material and form of expression. In particular, these are works from an unpublished collection, kept by the artist's family in their hometown (Quang Tri) after being brought from France to Vietnam in 2025.
The exhibition focuses on two images throughout his career, "Horse" and "Flower". While the image of the Horse evokes strength, aspiration and perseverance, the Flower symbolizes beauty, life and hope. This combination creates a liberal but philosophical art world, imbued with Le Ba Dang.
Through the exhibition, the public and tourists will have the opportunity to deeply access the aesthetic values and humanitarian thought of the artist who was awarded the title "Honor of Vietnam" by the State of Vietnam.
The event will last until the end of February 28th at the Da Nang Museum of Fine Arts. This promises to be an attractive cultural destination for people and tourists coming to Da Nang during the New Year.
