Trinh Cong Son Museum
In an art program at Trinh Cong Son park in Hue city to celebrate the 87th birthday of the late musician, representatives of the late musician's family said: in the near future, the family will start construction of a museum named Trinh Cong Son in the Kim Son hill area (Thuy Xuan ward, Hue city). The planned land area is about 20,000m2, located near the Le Ba Dang Memorial Space and Thien An hill.
Trinh Cong Son Museum will include a souvenir area, a display area of memorabilia associated with the musician's life and compositions. The museum is designed in a green space and has a place to organize music performances. A garden of love with grass, trees, flowers and leaves displaying statues of Trinh Cong Son and many famous singers associated with his life for visitors and admirers to have the opportunity to take souvenir photos.
The construction of the Trinh Cong Son Museum will proceed in 2026, expected to be completed after 2 years.
Currently, in Hue city, there is Trinh Cong Son street - set in 2011; Trinh Cong Son statue in the park named after him in 2024. Especially a souvenir space named "Gac Trinh" in the collective area on Nguyen Truong To street - where Trinh Cong Son once lived and also where this talented musician composed his first songs, managed and exploited by an individual "loving Trinh" Mr. Le Huynh Lam.
This attic has been named "The House of Wanderers" by writer Hoang Phu Ngoc Tuong. Now, it is named "Gac Trinh" as in the poem "The temple of the soul named Gac Trinh" by Mr. Le Huynh Lam himself.
Love chapel" space
Writer - translator Buu Y in Hue, a close friend of the late musician Trinh Cong Son, once recounted: “When Trinh Cong Son was born, he had a wish in Hue, but not only for himself. Initially, he wished to build in Hue a space called a “love chapel” with the noble meaning of being a place for lovers to go back and forth, and also a place to pray for troubled loves. It is a rendezvous for lovers to nurture and mend love, and also a place for young people of all generations to meet and have fun... And this idea, 26 years ago, was supported by Mr. Nguyen Van Quang - Secretary of the Hue City Party Committee at that time. Even, Mr. Quang personally took Trinh Cong Son to choose land in 2000... ”.
According to writer Buu Y, the phrase "Trinh Cong Son memorial house" was proposed by him and the musician's friends in Hue after he passed away in 2001.
This idea has always been supported by the local government since its inception and the two sides have chosen many locations near Thien Mu Pagoda, Thien An hill, Le Duan street, Song Huong Magazine today, the park on the banks of the Perfume River (the section near the foot of Truong Tien bridge where Phan Boi Chau statue will be placed soon), and an ownerless house on the other side of Da dam... However, for many years, no place has been chosen for various reasons.
Now "Trinh Cong Son memorial house", "love chapel" or Trinh Cong Son Museum are about to become a reality. So that Trinh lovers, after Trinh Cong Son street, after Trinh Cong Son park and "The temple of the soul named Gac Trinh", will have another place to come to, return to...
