Accordingly, Miss Binh Phuong shared her views as well as revealed many new information after two unsuccessful mediations at the Ho Chi Minh City People's Court with Ms. Anh (Duc Tien's biological mother).
Binh Phuong said that she was helpless when she could not reconcile with her mother-in-law continuously.
The beauty queen added that she has encountered many incidents in the past after her husband, actor Duc Tien, passed away. Binh Phuong has tried to lift her spirit and live better thanks to her children. She hopes everything will be resolved peacefully to avoid prolonged noise.
She added that she is currently still borrowing from the bank and does not have many expenses to cover her living expenses.
Currently, after two failed mediations, Binh Phuong's mother-in-law, Ms. Anh, has filed a complaint and stated that she does not believe in the will left by Duc Tien. In the petition, Ms. Anh wrote: My child was born and raised in Vietnam for more than 20 years, very knowledgeable about culture. In our country, making wills is often applied to the elderly or near-death. With my son's age, it is impossible to make a will".
Regarding this, Binh Phuong said she still sympathizes with her mother-in-law because her old age is easily affected by words from the outside. At the same time, she affirmed that in her will, Duc Tien did not mention his mother because he had taken good care of her so that she could enjoy her old age, without having to worry about finances.
Binh Phuong also recalled the contributions of herself and her family to the common asset. According to her, since getting engaged in 2008, her family has supported her with 50,000 USD for the couple to buy land and build a house in Thu Duc (HCMC).
In March 2011, before registering her marriage and completing the procedures to secure her husband to the US, she continued to bring 10,000 USD to Vietnam to pay off the debt. In addition, in 2015, the couple bought an additional plot of land in Long An (now Tay Ninh), although it was in Duc Tien's name, the entire amount of money she bought the land was sent from the US.
The meeting to disclose new evidence and the mediation session on August 14 have been postponed and a new trial will be opened by the court in the near future.
Actor and model Hoang Duc Tien passed away from a heart attack in California in May 2024, at the age of 44. He was a famous face in the Vietnamese modeling world in the 2000s, won the Golden trophy of Model Star in Korea in 2010, participated in many films such as Returning, The story of love island, My husband's wife. After marrying Binh Phuong, he went to the US to settle down, become an MC and organize events for the overseas Vietnamese community.
