This information quickly entered the search top on Weibo and sparked many debates. The content circulated mentioned personal life, expensive spending as well as negative comments aimed at some famous colleagues.
According to shared images, the chat is said to revolve around two main groups of information. The first is details related to personal relationships and private spending, including rumors about a romantic relationship with Ky My Hop and payments such as an Italian wine bill worth 14,000 CNY or the use of VIP lanes at the airport.
The second is the words considered to be critical, mentioning many famous artists such as Xiao Zhan, Cai Xukun, Luhan and Guan Xiaotong.
Before the dizzying speed of spread of the incident on February 28, the management company Yuehua Entertainment quickly issued an official statement. The company affirmed that the content on the internet is "seriously defamatory and untrue information", and said that this is a staged act to deceive public opinion.
Yuehua Entertainment said it has authorized lawyers to collect evidence and carry out the necessary legal procedures to prosecute accounts that spread rumors.
The company also called on the public and fans not to continue sharing unverified content, to avoid increasing negative impacts on artists as well as related individuals.
