Meanwhile, Mr. Nong Viet Yen - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lao Cai province stated that in 2024, Lao Cai welcomed nearly 10 million visitors, with a total revenue of about 29 trillion VND. In the first 6 months of 2025 alone, the whole province welcomed over 7.2 million visitors, with revenue reaching over 21 trillion VND.

The province also has many typical tourist destinations such as Sa Pa; Bac Ha market; Sa Pa and Mu Cang Chai terraced fields; O Quy Ho Pass.

At the meeting, delegates also frankly discussed and exchanged between tourism business units and leaders of Lao Cai province, leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Provincial Tourism Association.
