At the tomb of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan - the mother of President Ho Chi Minh - on Dong Tranh mountain, Nam Giang commune (Nam Dan district, Nghe An province), the 9-storey Thac project - a new highlight full of art and gratitude - has just been completed on the occasion of the 135th anniversary of the People's birthday (May 19, 1990 - May 19, 2025).
According to the Management Board of Kim Lien Special National Relic Site, the 9-storey waterfall was started in November 2023, with a design in harmony with the majestic mountain and forest landscape of Dong Tranh, with the land "like paint on the back, water- pedaling".
The project consists of three main items: Central lake area, stream - waterfall area and walking path area. All are inspired by items associated with the life of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan and Vietnamese women in the 19th century such as scarves, mirrors, wells, village gates, etc.

Prominent is the central lake with a diameter of 21m, shaped like a large well, decorated with 9 golden lotus flowers - symbolizing sacrifices and sacred motherhood. The water from here flocks to Uyen Ho through the stream system and 8 small water, forming a smooth flow throughout 9 floors, symbolizing the circulation and sustainability, as the whisper of the country of Vietnamese mother.

Mr. Nguyen Bao Tuan - Director of Kim Lien Special National Relic Site - said that the waterfall is drained from the stream flowing through the Mausoleum of Mrs. Loan and the tomb of Mr. Nguyen Sinh Xin (brother of President Ho Chi Minh) to preserve the natural features combined with artistic styles, forming a "mother's milk flow" connecting the land - water - memories.
Ms. Ha Thi Luong (a tourist from Ha Tinh) shared: "I have been here twice. This year, admiring the 9-storey waterfall more moved me. The project is both beautiful and reminds me of the great mother's merits in the sky and sea".
Not only a new attraction, the 9-storey waterfall also contributes significantly to educating the tradition of patriotism, nurturing gratitude and national pride, especially for today's young generation.
