On the afternoon of May 18, in Vinh City, Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy, the Central Propaganda Department and the Central Committee of the Ministry of Public Security, Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee and Nghe An Provincial Party Committee coordinated to organize a national scientific seminar: "President Ho Chi Minh - the noble symbol of the will, the desire to independence of the nation, freedom and happiness for the people".
Attending and chairing the seminar were comrades: Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang - Member of the Politburo, Director of Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy, Chairman of the Central theoretical Council; General Luong Tam Quang - Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Central Police Party Committee, Minister of Public Security; Dr. Pham Tat Thang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of Propaganda Department and Central Mobilization; Nguyen Thanh Nghi - Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Nguyen Duc Trung - Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee; Prof. Dr. Le Van Loi - Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy.
The workshop was also attended by representatives of the leaders of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics; the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; the Ministry of Public Security; central departments, ministries and branches; Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Nghe An Provincial Party Committee and some localities; along with delegates and scientists from the Central and local governments.
The leaders of Nghe An province include Comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, leaders of departments, branches, the Provincial Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations and localities.
Speaking at the opening and leading the seminar, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang emphasized: The 135th anniversary of the birth of President Ho Chi Minh is an important occasion to continue honoring and deepening the ideology, morality and style of Ho Chi Minh - priceless heritage of the nation and revolution of Vietnam in the cause of national construction, development and national defense.
Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang suggested that delegates and scientists focus on discussing and deepening the following contents: continuing to apply Ho Chi Minh's ideology to unite, take advantage of opportunities, overcome challenges, and successfully achieve the goal of Vietnam becoming a developing country with modern industry and high average income by 2030; by 2045, becoming a high-income developed country with a socialist orientation. Thereby realizing the aspiration for a peaceful, unified, democratic, rich and strong Vietnam, sharing the role of the five continental powers as Uncle Ho once wished.
Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang also emphasized the need to imbued the idea of "people are the root", promote the central role of the people; build a truly clean and strong Party; innovate leadership methods, improve governance capacity; train cadres and Party members to be both "pink" and "professional", clean revolutionary ethics, and fight against individualism, so that the Party always deserves to be a leader, a loyal servant of the people.
The Organizing Committee of the workshop received 90 presentations from leaders, former leaders of the Party and State, central and local departments, ministries, branches, scientists, and practical workers.
The presentations analyzed and explained in depth, clarified the glorious revolutionary cause and honored President Ho Chi Minh's great contributions to realizing the aspiration for national independence, freedom and happiness for the people.
