Speaking with Lao Dong, Mr. Bui Van Trieu - Head of the Management Board of Huong Son Relic and Scenic Area (My Duc District, Hanoi) - said that from the afternoon of January 28 (December 29, Giap Thin Year) to the end of February 2 (the 5th day of the Lunar New Year), My Duc District welcomed more than 87,000 visitors from all over the country to visit and sightsee Huong Pagoda.
Of which, on the 5th day of Tet alone, the number of passengers passing through Thien Tru ticket control station was more than 36,500.
Mr. Trieu affirmed: "All preparations for the opening of the festival are ready. The Organizing Committee continues to innovate the festival organization to ensure safety, civilization and friendliness. The landscape space from Yen stream to the ceremony areas has been decorated cleanly, beautifully and civilly."
The 2025 Huong Pagoda Festival has the theme "Huong Pagoda Festival - a tourist destination, culture, and Vietnamese tradition", taking place for 3 months, from February 3 to May 1. The opening ceremony will be held early in the morning of the 6th day of Tet (February 3).
This year, the People's Committee of My Duc district has launched the issuance of electronic tickets for sightseeing combined with the use of boat transportation services to reduce inconvenience for tourists. At the same time, this also helps to avoid loss of revenue, and to make transparent the prices of sightseeing tickets and service fees.
Currently, Huong Son Tourism Service Cooperative has renovated and painted more than 3,700 passenger boats blue. The boats are also fully equipped with life jackets, trash baskets, sun and rain umbrellas, seats, free drinking water, etc.
Each ferryman has a QR code for the Cooperative to manage, each ferry boat has a QR code that interacts with feedback on the ferryman's service attitude towards tourists. Ferry service time for tourists starts from 4:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. every day.
Regarding ticket prices, from January 1, 2025, the ticket price including entrance fee and boat transportation service on Huong Tich route is 230,000 VND/adult, 65,000 VND/child. Long Van - Tuyet Son route: 85,000 VND/adult and 50,000 VND/child.
For the cable car service from Thien Tru Pagoda to Huong Tich Cave, the round-trip ticket is 260,000 VND/adult, 180,000 VND/child and priority person. The one-way ticket is 180,000 VND/adult, 120,000 VND/child and priority person. The ticket price for the electric car from the parking lot to the ferry terminal is 20,000 VND/person/trip.
Regarding vehicle parking fees, My Duc district is proposing that Hanoi city allow the collection of fees for passenger cars with less than 9 seats at 30,000 VND/trip, over 10 seats at 50,000 VND/trip, and if parked overnight, an additional 20,000 VND/car will be collected.
This year, My Duc district has focused on beautifying the landscape and space, installing billboards, backdrops, flower beds and ornamental plants along Provincial Road 419 (from Van Tin to Huong Son) and the walking route on both sides of Suoi Yen to create a landscape for tourists to visit and enjoy the festival.
