A day before the 67th Grammy Awards ceremony was held in Los Angeles (USA), fans were excited by the news that Taylor Swift was one of the stars taking on the role of presenting awards at this year's ceremony.
On the 2025 Grammy stage taking place on the morning of February 3 (Vietnam time), Taylor Swift appeared in a striking red dress and announced the winning artist in the category "Best Country Album".
The person named by the "Reputation" singer is Beyonce with the album "Cowboy Carter".
Beyonce beat out Post Malone, Kacey Musgraves, Chris Stapleton and Lainey Wilson to win the Grammy for “Best Country Album.” She is the first black female artist to win in this category.
When Taylor Swift called her name, Beyonce froze for a few seconds, then expressed her surprise amid applause from her colleagues.
On social network X (or Twitter), the moment Taylor Swift presented an award and hugged Beyonce quickly created a storm with a large number of interactions.
“I really didn’t expect this. I want to thank God that I can still do what I love after all these years. I want to thank all the great country artists who accepted this, this album we worked so hard on.
I think sometimes genre is a code that helps us stay grounded as artists and I just want to encourage people to keep pursuing their passions,” Beyonce said when accepting the award.
Beyonce extends her record as the most awarded artist in Grammy history.
Earlier, at the beginning of the awards ceremony, Beyonce won the Grammy for “Best Country Duo/Group Performance” with Miley Cyrus, for the song “II Most Wanted”.
Beyonce is the most nominated artist at the 2025 Grammys, with four of her 11 nominations this year in the country music categories, including: Best Country Album, Best Country Song (“Texas Hold 'Em”), Best Country Solo Performance (“16 Carriages”) and Best Country Duo/Group Performance (“II Most Wanted” with Miley Cyrus).
Beyonce is also one of five powerful women nominated in all three of this year's Grammys' top categories - Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Album of the Year.
The female artists nominated in these three categories with her are Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan and Sabrina Carpenter.
