On the morning of January 29 (the first day of Tet), Cao Bang city suddenly became quiet, different from its usual hustle and bustle.
As the weather warms up in the afternoon, people begin to go to pagodas and temples and participate in spiritual activities to welcome the new year.

One of the prominent destinations is De Doong Temple in Hong Viet Commune, Hoa An District. On the afternoon of the first day of Tet (January 29), many locals and tourists came here, causing traffic jams in this area.

"Going to the temple at the beginning of the year is not only a spiritual need but also an opportunity to connect the community and maintain the long-standing cultural values of the people here" - said Mr. Vi Van Tu (residing in De Tham ward, Cao Bang city).
Besides respectfully remembering their ancestors, Cao Bang people also participate in folk activities and gather with their families to enjoy traditional dishes.

With majestic natural scenery and peaceful space, Cao Bang people go on spring trips and attend festivals not only as a trend but also as a way for them to return to their roots and nourish their souls in the first days of the new year.
