Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) Trinh Thi Thuy led a delegation of village elders, village heads, and artisans of Vietnamese ethnic groups at the ceremony to report achievements to Uncle Ho. Attending the ceremony were Director of the Department of Culture of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups Trinh Ngoc Chung and representatives of the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Departments of Culture and Sports of provinces and cities.
The activity is part of a series of events to celebrate Vietnamese Ethnic Culture Day (April 19).


At the ceremony, delegate Y Nen Hmôk, Ede ethnicity (Krong Ana commune, Dak Lak province) representing Vietnamese ethnic minorities reported achievements to Uncle Ho. Next, the delegation visited Uncle Ho's Mausoleum and visited and learned about the Ho Chi Minh Presidential Relic Site at the Presidential Palace.
The reporting ceremony to Uncle Ho is not only an opportunity for ethnic minorities to express their respect, but also an opportunity to meet, exchange, strengthen solidarity, and introduce the unique cultural features of each community. Thereby, contributing to consolidating the great national unity bloc, spreading good cultural values in social life.


In recent years, with the attention of the Party, State and levels and sectors, the Village of Culture and Tourism of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups has increasingly developed, becoming a "Common House" converging and spreading the cultural colors of the 54 ethnic communities. Here, many cultural activities and traditional festivals are vividly recreated, contributing to preserving heritage and educating the young generation about the roots of the nation.
Vietnamese Ethnic Culture Day April 19 is an annual event to honor cultural identity, affirm the consistent policy of the Party and State in preserving and promoting the cultural values of ethnic groups; and at the same time recognize and commend the contributions of village elders, village chiefs, artisans, and prestigious people in the community.
