As planned, the 2024 Heritage City - Ha Long Color Balloon Festival will open from 7:00 to 7:30 at 30.10 Square, Hong Hai Ward, Ha Long City.
Then, from 7:30 to 9:30, visitors will experience the level 7 hot air balloon flight and visit the ground hot air balloon . The time to experience the level 7 hot air balloon flight in the morning ends at 9:30; the time to visit the ground hot air balloon is expected to be from 7:30 to 10:30 depending on weather conditions.
On the afternoon of September 1, 2024, also at October 30 Square, from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., visitors and people are free to visit the ground hot air balloon. From 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., visitors and people can experience the Level 7 hot air balloon.
On the evening of September 1, 2024, at 7:30 p.m., there will be a cultural program, KKC Lantern Night (with fire dragon performance). From 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., visitors will experience visiting the Level 7 Hot Air Balloon and visiting the ground hot air balloon.
On September 2, 2024, at October 30 Square, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., visitors and residents are free to take photos and visit. The time to experience flying a level 7 hot air balloon is as follows: Morning from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.; afternoon from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
From 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on the same day, all hot air balloons will be moved to Ocean Park Beach to prepare for the Hot Air Balloon Lantern Festival. From 7:15 p.m., visitors will attend the KKC lantern festival (with a KKC fire dragon performance).
In addition to the main activities of Hot Air Balloon, there will be many additional activities during the above days, such as paragliding.
The organizers note: The balloon can only fly with winds of level 3 or lower on the Beaufort scale, no rain or outside temperature below 40 degrees Celsius. The organizers will adjust the flight experience time according to the weather conditions to ensure safety. The organizers can serve a maximum of 600 people to experience the hanging flight within 2 days and depending on weather conditions (following the safety instructions of the organizers).
The maximum height when flying is 50m (from the ground to the bottom of the rattan basket) according to international standards. The balloon is securely tied to a fixed position to ensure maximum safety for the flyer.
People with heart disease, high blood pressure and children under 7 years old should not fly. Smoking and fire-generating devices are prohibited.
