The contest was assigned by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to the Department of Cinema to carry out, aiming to honor the historical values, ideology and revolutionary spirit of the Party through a century of building, maturing, directing and leading the Vietnamese revolution, the Vietnamese people's steadfastness, steadfastness, innovation and creativity in fighting to protect national independence, building the country for a rich people, a strong country, democracy, fairness and civilization.
After 8 months of launching and 2 months of receiving scripts (from February 1, 2024 to April 1, 2024), the Organizing Committee received scripts from nearly 70 authors nationwide.
The contest is organized as a practical form to implement Resolution No. 23-NQ/TW dated June 16, 2008 of the Politburo on continuing to build and develop literature and art in the new period, Resolution No. 33-NQ/TW dated June 9, 2014 of the Politburo on building and developing Vietnamese culture and people to meet the requirements of sustainable national development and Conclusion No. 76/KL/TW dated June 4, 2020 of the Politburo on continuing to implement Resolution No. 33-NQ/TW.
Result of feature film script: No first prize, 1 second prize (50 million VND/prize) for the script “Genius Choice”, author Le Ngoc Minh (Hanoi). Three third prizes (30 million VND/prize) for “First Spring”, author Nguyen Thi Khanh Ly (Hanoi); “Faith and Love”, author Dao Thuy Trang (Hanoi) and “Legendary Footprints”, author Doan Tuan (Hanoi). Two consolation prizes (10 million VND/prize) for “A Strange Fate”, author Nguyen Anh Tuan (Hanoi) and “Red Migration”, author Dang Thu Ha (Hanoi).
Regarding documentary scripts: No first prize, 1 second prize (30 million VND/prize) for the script "Young journalist looking for writer Son Tung in "Ho Chi Minh's light", author Dao Tue Trinh (Hanoi). Two third prizes (20 million VND/prize) for "Van Cao - The Party with many talents, The Party with genius", authors Giang Ha Vy and Nguyen Hoai Giang (Hanoi); "The old school by the Cong river", author Nguyen Thi My Trang (Hanoi).
