On the afternoon of September 16, in Son La, the Provincial Labor Federation held talks with the Trade Union Unions of Hua Phan, Luang Namtha, Luang Prabang and Udomxay provinces, Lao People's Democratic Republic.
Speaking at the program, Mr. Soi Ngoc Cuong - Chairman of the Son La Provincial Labor Federation informed about the organizational situation, the movement of workers, civil servants, and laborers and the outstanding results in the work of caring for union members in the area.

Representative of the Union of Trade Unions of 4 Northern Provinces of Laos, Mr. Phong Tham - Tham Ma Thong, Chairman of the Union of Trade Unions of Hua Phan province, shared the advantages and difficulties in trade union activities.
Accordingly, the terrain of the provinces is mainly high mountains, people's lives are still difficult, and agricultural production plays a key role.
The establishment of trade union organizations at factories, enterprises and labor-using units in some localities is still limited. Resources, vehicles, and equipment serving professional work are still lacking, posing a need to strengthen exchanges and learn from experience with localities of Vietnam.
At the talks, the two sides exchanged views on building organizations, developing union members, caring for life, protecting workers' rights and organizing emulation movements.


The Son La Provincial Labor Federation and the Confederation of Trade Unions of 4 Northern Laos provinces signed working minutes, presented gifts and took souvenir photos, and continued to maintain exchange and cooperation activities between trade union organizations of the two sides.
