On the morning of September 16, the Can Tho Department of Health provided Lao Dong Newspaper with a press release reflecting on the rapid process of issuing health certificates for job applications, showing signs of not fully complying with professional procedures at some medical facilities (including Can Tho).
The inspection results showed that Ngoc Thach General Clinic had violations in performing professional health check-ups for people.
The inspection team made a record and requested Ngoc Thach General Clinic to stop health check-up activities from September 14, 2026, and revoke the self-declaration of the facility's eligibility for health check-up.
The Can Tho City Department of Health affirmed that violations affecting the reputation of the health sector will be strictly handled according to the provisions of law.
The Department is taking further steps to handle violations of Ngoc Thach General Clinic in accordance with the law (will publicly announce after having the results of administrative violation penalties).

The press release also clearly stated that, to rectify this situation, the Can Tho City Department of Health has directed specialized departments to continue to implement Plan No. 44/KH-SYT dated March 19, 2026 of the Department of Health on inspecting the compliance with regulations on health check-ups for establishments announced to be eligible for health check-ups in Can Tho City in 2026.
Along with that, there is a document directing medical examination and treatment facilities in the area to organize self-review and tighten the process of examination and health certificate issuance in accordance with regulations.
