Immediately after issuing a press release related to reflecting the process of issuing health certificates to serve job applications taking place quickly in the Mekong Delta (including Can Tho) on the morning of September 16, in the afternoon of the same day, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health continued to issue an official dispatch on rectifying health check-up activities in the area.
The Department requests establishments that have announced that they are eligible for health check-ups in the city to urgently implement tasks, including seriously implementing health check-ups to meet health check-up regulations, according to the provisions of Circulars and relevant legal documents.
Facilities implement information updates and store health certificates according to regulations. For health checks for drivers and specialized motorbike drivers, update to the information portal on schedule.
Along with that is a report on the implementation of quarterly and unscheduled periodic health check-ups when requested according to regulations.
Complete the dossier of procedures for announcing medical examination and treatment facilities that meet the conditions for health check-ups according to the provisions of Article 69 of Decree 96/2023/ND-CP dated December 30, 2023 of the Government (or when changing personnel, heads, location, address, facility name... ) and submit the dossier on the national public service portal.
Notably, the head of the health examination facility is responsible before the law for self-announcement and health examination results in accordance with legal regulations.
The official dispatch of the Can Tho City Department of Health also included a list of 33 establishments announced after July 1, 2025 and 28 establishments announced before July 1, 2025.

To have an objective and comprehensive view of the actual situation of issuing health certificates for job applications, a group of reporters penetrated the reality, in the role of workers, recording at some private clinics in the area.
Through this, articles provide multi-dimensional analysis of risky "commitments" between parties: workers need work, businesses need labor, clinics make money perfunctorily. Meanwhile, the post-inspection work of the health sector still has many limitations and inadequacies.
This leaves consequences for workers, sows dangers for business operations and directly reduces the prestige and medical ethics of the health sector.
On September 14, the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management (Ministry of Health) issued an urgent document to the Department of Health of Can Tho City and the Department of Health of Dong Thap province, requesting clarification of press information reflecting on health certificate issuance activities at some private clinics in the Mekong Delta region.
