Lao Dong Newspaper and the Tax Department - Ministry of Finance jointly chaired, and the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) jointly organized the Workshop "Promoting self-conscious tax compliance and full tax contributions - Building a strong era" at 2:00 p.m. on October 23, 2025 at the headquarters of Lao Dong Newspaper (Hanoi).
In recent times, Vietnam has made significant improvements in tax payment and refund procedures, but the level of voluntary tax compliance of enterprises is still not high compared to the region. The situation of incorrect declaration, late payment, or intentional tax evasion still occurs in many different business models. This not only causes loss of State budget revenue but also affects the competitive environment, creates legal risks and damages the reputation of businesses. So how to sow confidence in promoting tax compliance, experts have made many proposals.

Vietnam's digital tax infrastructure has reached the point that many developing countries still dream of. But when data has gone very far, a bigger question arises: Is the level of self-awareness of taxpayers keeping pace with technology?
