According to the Hau Giang Provincial Statistics Office, since the beginning of the year, the province has had 959 newly registered business records (including 709 enterprises and 250 affiliated units) with a total registered capital of VND4,685.88 billion, an increase of 9% in the number of enterprises and an increase of 8% in charter capital over the same period.
The number of enterprises temporarily ceasing operations is 256 with a total capital of 266.56 billion VND. Of the 210 dissolved enterprise records, there are 43 enterprises and 167 affiliated units, an increase of 3% in the number of enterprises compared to the same period.
As of November 1, 2024, the labor utilization index of the entire industry increased by 0.85% compared to the previous month and decreased by 0.61% compared to the same period. In the first 11 months of 2024, the labor utilization index of the entire industry increased by 0.76% compared to the same period.
Some industries that use a lot of labor and have a high labor utilization index compared to the same period include: Garment production increased by 5.85%; leather production and related products increased by 4.81%; wood processing and production of products from wood, bamboo and rattan increased by 21.1%; paper and paper products production increased by 2.09%; medicine, pharmaceutical chemicals and medicinal materials production increased by 6.46%...
This shows that the operating situation of large enterprises in industrial parks and clusters in the area is quite stable, attracting a large number of workers working far away to return to the province to work.
In the first 11 months of the year, the province created jobs for 24,925 workers; sent 716 workers to work abroad under contracts; organized 94 job fairs for unemployment beneficiaries with 5,927 workers participating.
In the field of vocational education, the province has provided vocational training to 11,171 people, including 357 college students; 903 intermediate students; and 9,911 primary and under 3 months students.
