In the period 2026-2030, Son La province sets a target of vocational training for about 105,800 workers, contributing to improving the quality of human resources and meeting the requirements of socio-economic development.
According to the Vocational Training Plan for the period 2026-2030 just issued by the People's Committee of Son La province, the whole province will train about 3,865 people with college degrees, 6,525 people with intermediate degrees and more than 95,400 people with elementary degrees, training under 3 months.
By 2030, Son La strives for the rate of trained workers to reach about 75%, of which 40% of workers have degrees and certificates; over 85% of learners have jobs or create jobs after training.
The plan determines that vocational training must be linked to the needs of the labor market and the economic development orientation of the locality.
Priority sectors include high-tech agriculture, agricultural product processing, industry, construction, services, tourism and industries serving digital transformation.
The province also prioritizes vocational training for rural workers, ethnic minorities, poor and near-poor households and policy beneficiaries to create jobs, improve income, and contribute to sustainable poverty reduction.
To achieve the goal, Son La will focus on improving the quality of vocational education, strengthening links with businesses, training according to recruitment needs, and mobilizing socialized resources to improve the effectiveness of vocational training in the area.
