Thousands of workers found jobs
According to the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Gia Lai province, after more than 10 years of implementing the job exchange, the units have well connected the supply and demand between workers and businesses. Thereby, contributing to helping tens of thousands of local workers stabilize their lives and develop the socio-economy.
According to statistics, in the past 10 years, Gia Lai Provincial Employment Service Center (under the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs) has organized 280 regular, mobile, thematic and consulting job fairs in the area.
Of which, there are 122 regular job fairs on the 10th of every month and 88 mobile job fairs.
On average, each session has about 90 - 110 recruiting businesses. Of which, 3 - 10 businesses participate directly. On average, each job transaction session has about 110 workers introduced to work in and outside the province, export labor and learn a trade. Up to now, the Center has consulted nearly 45,000 workers; introduced jobs and supplied nearly 3,400 workers to businesses and recruiting units.
Strengthening supply-demand connection
According to the Gia Lai Provincial Employment Service Center, in recent years, the unit has acted as a bridge, introducing many vacant job positions for unemployed workers who are looking for jobs. The occupations introduced by the unit are also very diverse, including groups of occupations such as accountants, sales staff, electronics, telecommunications, workers, drivers, teachers, mechanics, pharmacists, engineers, etc.
In particular, the average income of workers is from 5 - 10 million VND/month for enterprises and units in the province; from 6 - 12 million VND/month for enterprises outside the province.
Besides, the unit also does a good job of exporting labor, introducing foreign job markets to markets such as Germany, Japan, Taiwan (China), Korea, etc.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong - Director of Gia Lai Provincial Employment Service Center - informed that in the first 9 months of 2023, the unit organized job counseling, vocational training and labor export for 34,904 people.
Statistics for the first 6 months of 2024 show that the number of Gia Lai workers working abroad under contracts is 779 workers.
“In the coming time, Gia Lai Provincial Employment Service Center will continue to provide labor market information, soft skills training for workers, students preparing to graduate, and create a source of labor supply to work abroad under contracts…” - Ms. Huong said.
