On the evening of February 19 (ie, the 3rd day of Tet), Tuan Giao commune, Dien Bien province opened the 2026 Ethnic Culture Festival.
The highlight of the festival is a performance of traditional folk musical instruments combined with a street cultural parade of 1,500 performers who are officials, civil servants, students, teachers and people from blocks and villages in Tuan Giao, Quai To, Chieng Sinh, Pu Nhung, Muong Mun communes.




Specifically, with a length of about 1.5km, the parade departs from the Doan Ket block area, moves through the main road of the commune center and gathers at the Cultural Center Square of the commune.
In the sound of traditional musical instruments, the actors in national costumes showed off unique cultural beauties, praising the spirit of solidarity.
The rhythmic Xoe and Sap dances combined with the sound of the khen have created a vivid spring picture, expressing pride in the homeland during the Lunar New Year.





Participating in the parade, Ms. Luong Thi Thom (59 years old, Dong village, Tuan Giao commune) said: "Very proud to wear the most beautiful costume of the Thai ethnic group to participate in the festival. This is an opportunity to celebrate Spring, to teach love for traditional culture.
Talking to reporters, Mr. Quang Van Cuong - Chairman of Tuan Giao Commune People's Committee said that the festival is organized with the expectation of bringing people and tourists a joyful atmosphere in the early spring days of the "new era".



Through the festival, the commune wishes to promote unique cultural features, natural scenery and friendly and hospitable Tuan Giao people.
In particular, this is also an opportunity to affirm the determination of the entire commune in implementing the restructuring of the agricultural sector, focusing on two key crops, macadamia and coffee" - Mr. Cuong emphasized.
