On the afternoon of February 13, representatives of the Dong A Thanh Hoa Football Supporters Association handed over to the coaching staff and players of the Thanh Hoa team the amount of more than 372 million VND, as a timely support in the period when the team fell into financial crisis.
This amount of money was donated from the fan community across the country, including the joint efforts of many professional players such as Tien Linh (50 million VND) and To Van Vu (10 million VND).
The idea of calling for support was initiated after the victory of Dong A Thanh Hoa club against Ho Chi Minh City Police in round 13 of the V.League. Mr. Nguyen Hai Quan - a long-time fan of the team - created a private account to call for donations to encourage the spirit of coach Mai Xuan Hop and his team in the context of accumulating difficulties.
Thanh Hoa team is going through a period of fluctuations when financial resources are stagnant, and players' salaries and bonuses are delayed for many months.
They also face a force crisis. In the last 2 rounds, the team only registered 17 players, including 3 goalkeepers, even a reserve goalkeeper who has to play in the striker position. However, the Thanh Hoa team still impressed when they won 4 points against strong opponents, including a draw with Nam Dinh and a 2-1 victory over Cong An TPHCM.
That spirit of overcoming difficulties has ignited a wave of support from fans. Many fans contributed 50,000-100,000 VND but sent great feelings for their hometown team.
The joint efforts of fans have become a source of encouragement to help Thanh Hoa continue their journey in the second leg of V.League 2025-2026.
