On the morning of February 18th (ie, the 2nd day of Tet), at Na Son commune stadium, Dien Bien province, thousands of people and tourists attended the Binh Ngo 2026 spring festival.
The spring festival takes place in 2 days (February 18-19, i.e., the 2nd and 3rd days of Tet), the highlight is the 10th traditional bullfighting festival.
Immediately after the opening ceremony, the cheers and encouragement of a large number of spectators heated up Na Son commune stadium. The "bull warriors" participating in this year's tournament were all carefully selected from the communes: Na Son, Xa Dung, Pu Nhi, Tia Dinh...

Thanks to elaborate preparation, the bulls entered the arena with strong physiques, solid support, and sharp horns.
The matches have offered the audience tense and dramatic competitions, creating a joyful and cheerful atmosphere in the first days of the new year.
According to the Organizing Committee, the bull fighting festival is a cultural feature that has been formed for a long time in Dien Bien Dong district (old). This is not only an entertainment playground but also an opportunity to honor good livestock households.
Through the contest, farmers have the opportunity to meet, share techniques and experiences in caring for livestock, thereby promoting the livestock movement, developing household economy and increasing income.

Besides fiery bullfighting scenes, the Na Son Spring Festival 2026 also has a series of rich activities such as: cultural exchange, traditional costume performances, banh chung wrapping contest, banh giay pounding, cross-country running and folk games.
Highland spring festivals not only meet the entertainment needs of the people after a year of hard work but also make an important contribution to strengthening the great national unity bloc.
This is an opportunity for generations to jointly preserve and promote the good traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities in the area. In particular, this event is gradually becoming an attractive tourism product, attracting tourists on the occasion of the beginning of spring.
The spring festival and traditional sports activities in Na Son commune, Dien Bien province will take place until the end of February 19th (3rd day of Tet).
