On February 25, the Fire and Rescue Police Department (PC07) of Ho Chi Minh City Police informed that functional forces had found the bodies of 2 male victims who drowned in the Tau Hu canal after more than 1 hour of searching efforts.
Previously, at about 6 pm on February 23, PC07 received a report about a person drowning in the Tau Hu canal area (HCMC) near Mong bridge. Immediately, the unit dispatched a canoe and nearly 30 officers and soldiers to the scene to quickly organize rescue and relief.
At the time functional forces were present, the search work encountered many difficulties due to darkness and limited lighting conditions. In addition, this area has strong currents and very low underwater visibility.
Faced with the above situation, the rescue force deployed a plan, taking turns diving to search for victims. After more than 1 hour of effort to search, the bodies of 2 men were found.
Currently, the victims' bodies have been handed over to the local police for further processing according to regulations. The initial cause of the incident was determined to be drowning.
