On July 16, Can Tho City Political School coordinated with the City Police to organize the Opening Ceremony of the K01A/CT25 Concentrated Political Theory Intermediate Level classes, the K01B/CT25 and K02B/CT25 Concentrated Programs for the 2025-2026 school year for Police officers.
These are the first 3 intermediate political theory classes organized after the merger of Hau Giang province, Soc Trang and Can Tho city. Of which, the K01A/CT25 Intermediate School of Concentrated Political Theory has 80 students; the K01B/CT25 Intermediate School of Unconcentrated Political Theory has 51 students and K02B/CT25 has 80 students.
In her opening speech, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Loan - Principal of Can Tho Political School affirmed that studying and training political theory for cadres and party members, especially the Public Security sector in the current period, plays a very special role.
In that context, implementing the two-level local government model, reorganizing a streamlined, effective and efficient management apparatus, the Public Security sector plays a particularly important role in maintaining political security, social order and safety, ensuring a stable foundation for socio-economic development, national defense and security. That task could not have been completed well without a solid foundation of political theory, a truly profound scientific and defensive mindset and a spirit of service to the people.
According to the training program for leaders and managers at the grassroots level, the intermediate level of political theory includes 13 study parts, practical research, graduation exam or graduation thesis writing.
Colonel Huynh Hoai Han - Deputy Director of Can Tho City Police said that training in political theory is a regular task of all party organizations to improve the theoretical qualifications and political courage for cadres and party members, meeting the requirements of the current period.
The Deputy Director of Can Tho City Police stated that training political theory qualifications for the city's police officers and soldiers is an important step to concretize the implementation of Resolution No. 12 of the Politburo and the plan of the Central Party Committee of the Public Security on promoting the building of a truly clean, strong, disciplined, elite, and modern People's Public Security force, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Tran Van Huyen - Deputy Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee emphasized that in the face of the world and regional situation that is still developing very complicatedly, the new administrative boundaries of Can Tho City with a large space as the center of the region, in addition to advantages, there are also many difficulties and challenges, so cadres and party members need to have more political and theoretical courage.
The Deputy Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee believes that with a team of experienced lecturers, 211 police officers participating in the training course all have university degrees or higher, are aware of organizing well, and have excellently completed the course in the new period, the new era.
