Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway
Started in 2014, the Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway is nearly 58 km long, passing through Long An, Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai. The project had a total initial investment of more than VND 31,300 billion, which was later adjusted down to about VND 29,587 billion.
The expressway is designed with 4 lanes, 2 emergency lanes, maximum operating speed of 100 km/h.
This is a strategic connecting axis between the Eastern and Southwestern regions, especially playing an important role in connecting with Long Thanh International Airport (expected to complete phase 1 by the end of 2025).

On April 30, Vietnam Expressway Corporation (VEC) opened an additional 18 km of the section passing through Ho Chi Minh City, connecting from the National Highway 1 intersection to Nguyen Van Tao Street at the western gateway of the city.
Previously, VEC temporarily put into use the first and last sections of the route, about 11 km long. Thus, nearly 30 km out of a total of 58 km of the entire route has been exploited.
It is expected that the entire Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway will be completed in 2026.
Ho Chi Minh City - Chon Thanh Expressway
About 57 km long, the Ho Chi Minh City - Chon Thanh Expressway is expected to become a vital traffic axis connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc and further the Central Highlands provinces.
Of which, the section passing through Binh Duong province is about 50 km long, with a total capital of VND 17,400 billion, and was started in early February 2025, expected to be completed in 2027. In the first phase, the road will be constructed with a scale of 4 lanes.
The 7 km section through Binh Phuoc province started construction in December 2024, with a total investment of more than 1,470 billion VND and is expected to be completed in 2026.

Ho Chi Minh City alone is in the process of completing the pre-feasibility study report for the connecting route from Go Dua intersection (Ring Road 2) to Ho Chi Minh City - Chon Thanh Expressway.
The road connecting to Ho Chi Minh City is about 1.65 km long, with a cross-section of 60 m, with a total investment of about VND 3,300 billion - of which the cost of site clearance accounts for more than VND 1,660 billion. The project is expected to start construction in the first quarter of 2026.
In addition, the remaining part of the connecting route passing through Binh Duong (7.15 km long, belonging to the existing DT.743 route) will also be expanded to 60 m, invested by Binh Duong.
Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai Expressway
The Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai Expressway is 51 km long, passing through Ho Chi Minh City and Tay Ninh province, with a total investment of more than VND 19,600 billion under the form of public-private partnership (PPP), BOT contract.
Currently, Ho Chi Minh City has approved Component Project 3 - related to compensation, support and resettlement for the 24.7 km long route passing through Cu Chi district.
About 2,177 households and organizations were affected, on an area of about 220 hectares. The total investment for Component Project 3 is more than VND 5,052 billion.
The compensation, support and resettlement plan will be prepared and approved in the second quarter of 2025.
The compensation payment and handover of the site will take place from the third quarter to the fourth quarter of 2025.

It is expected that on September 2, 2025, the construction of the residential access road and the overpass will start with budget capital.
By January 2026, the expressway was officially started under a BOT contract and is expected to be put into operation by the end of 2027.
When completed, the Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai Expressway will not only reduce traffic pressure on National Highway 22 but also become the shortest route connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Moc Bai international border gate, enhancing the capacity to transport goods and passengers between Vietnam and Cambodia.
