Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh has just signed and issued a plan to organize activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
Activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2 were organized in diverse, solemn, economical, effective, practical, focused and key forms.
In particular, the city will coordinate with the Government Office to organize Lunar New Year visits, incense offerings, flower offerings, and commemorate heroic martyrs; coordinate with the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences to organize a National Scientific Conference; coordinate with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to design logos and identification documents to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day on September 2.
At the same time, coordinate the organization of the Exhibition of Socio-Economic Achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the National Day; coordinate with the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to organize a gratitude meeting (Conference of the General Secretary's meeting with veteran cadres, people with revolutionary contributions, exemplary policy families in the North); coordinate with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize a special art program and cultural, artistic, physical education and sports activities to celebrate.
The city will also coordinate with the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee and Vietnam Television to organize a live television bridge to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2; coordinate with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize a painting competition to promote the event; coordinate with the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee to organize a large-scale lacquer painting exhibition "Independent Spring".
The city also organized fireworks displays at 5 locations (Hoan Kiem Lake, Thong Nhat Park, Van Quan Lake, My Dinh National Stadium, Tay Lake) on the evening of September 2.
