On September 20, Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee said that it had requested Phu My, Tay Son, Tuy Phuoc, Chu Se and An Nhon Tay communes to organize people's opinions on the establishment of wards in the province in 2026.
Communes must complete the opinion collection before September 22 and complete the project, submit it to the Commune People's Council for consideration and comments before September 30.
The collection of opinions must ensure implementation of democracy at the grassroots level, publicizing content, documents and plans; creating conditions for people to study and participate.

Localities are responsible for receiving, summarizing, researching, receiving and explaining opinions and recommendations of the people, and at the same time creating conditions for the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at the same level to supervise according to regulations.
People are consulted by phiếu for households. Household representatives are given phiếu directly according to each village area for research, giving opinions and signing or fingerprints.
After the time of taking opinions ends, localities proceed to collect ballots and count ballots in the presence of representatives of at least 2 households with prestige among the people. The results are summarized, made records and reported according to regulations.
If 50% or more of the total number of households in the commune approve, the Commune People's Committee will summarize the results, receive and explain the opinions and recommendations; coordinate with the Department of Home Affairs and related parties to complete the project dossier, report to the Commune People's Council for consideration and comments.
As of September 20, communes are still summarizing people's opinions. Tuy Phuoc commune has basically completed the collection of opinions.
According to preliminary statistics, over 99% of households in Tuy Phuoc commune approve the establishment of wards. Tuy Phuoc commune authorities are completing project dossiers to submit to the Commune People's Council for consideration and comments.
According to the set roadmap, 5 communes Phu My, Tay Son, Tuy Phuoc, Chu Se and An Nhon Tay will build dossiers for the project to establish wards in 2026.
Communes under the roadmap for the 2027-2028 and 2029-2030 periods are required to proactively develop plans, coordinate with departments and branches to review conditions and standards; mobilize and integrate resources to invest in technical infrastructure, social infrastructure, complete planning, urban development and supplement missing standards.
In 2028, build a project dossier to establish wards for 8 communes including An Luong, Cat Tien, Dak Doa, Duc Co, Ia Grai, Phu Cat, Tuy Phuoc Dong and Binh Khe.
