Binh Thuan - A fishing boat ran aground at La Gi port and sank after being hit by a big wave. The crew jumped off the boat and swam to shore.

On October 29, the Standing Office of the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Binh Thuan province received information about the incident of fishing boat HT 20390 TS sinking at La Gi port.

Fishing boat HT 20390 TS of Ha Tinh fishermen, capacity 74CV, diving, with 9 workers, captained by Mr. N.D.H (born in 1982). When the fishing boat was moving towards La Gi estuary, Binh Thuan, it ran aground and was sunk by waves. The 9 crew members on board swam safely to shore.

Currently, the authorities are informing boat owners and fishermen operating near La Gi port to avoid collision with the sunken ship and to deploy salvage as soon as possible.
