Lang Son Provincial Party Secretary Hoang Quoc Khanh - Head of the Steering Committee for compensation and site clearance for key projects - has just chaired a conference to assess the site clearance progress of 10 key projects in October 2025 and deploy tasks in the coming time.
According to the report, in October 2025, the Standing Agency of the Steering Committee and its members issued 4 documents urging; organized 5 meetings and conducted field inspections at 2 projects to remove difficulties and promote site clearance progress.
Thanks to the strong direction of the People's Committees of communes and wards, the local political system was mobilized to participate synchronously. As a result, the authorities have counted an additional 162 cases with an area of 59.3 hectares; handed over nearly 10 hectares of land for construction.
Comparing the plan, out of 10 key projects, only 1 project has achieved good progress; 9 projects are behind schedule, of which 3 projects have not changed compared to the previous session.
Some projects are implemented in low volumes, the achieved rate is still very limited such as the Cargo Transit Area in Dong Dang - Lang Son Border Gate Economic Zone; Hoang Dong Golf Course Hotel Project and Nam Nguyen Dinh Chieu Resettlement and Residential Area...
Communes and wards said that the main problems are related to compensation land prices, resettlement arrangements and the progress of reviewing and relocating graves.
Representatives of localities recommended that the Steering Committee continue to direct sectors to promptly complete resettlement areas; increase propaganda forces, mobilize people to hand over the site; support the completion of construction protection records for cases that have not complied with the compensation plan.
Departments and branches also requested grassroots authorities to focus on resolving petitions related to compensation and land recovery; ensuring accurate land plot measurement; flexibly implementing scattered resettlement plans; speeding up the approval of official compensation plans; proactively developing resettlement plans for projects in the 2026-2030 period.
Provincial Party Secretary Hoang Quoc Khanh acknowledged the efforts of units and localities in October 2025 but emphasized that the general progress still has many limitations.
He requested that heads of localities and units continue to direct strongly, closely following each specific difficult case for timely handling.
Communes and wards must develop a detailed plan, clearly defining the responsibilities of each cadre assigned to the task.
Members of the Steering Committee for Monitoring the area must accompany and stand side by side with the locality throughout the process of mobilizing and supporting site clearance, contributing to speeding up the progress of key projects in the province.
