Attending the meeting were Mr. Tô Quốc Hưng - National Director of ACCA, Mr. Phan Trường Giang - Deputy Chief Auditor of the State Audit Office (SAA) of Vietnam, Mr. Nguyễn Huy Hoàng - Deputy Director of the Training and Professional Development School (School); and representatives of SAA's affiliated units.
According to Mr. Bùi Quốc Dũng, in recent times, the Training and Professional Development School has been entrusted by SAA to take the lead in implementing the task of training and professional development of state auditors; while expanding training for civil servants, public employees, and staff of agencies, units, and localities in some related fields such as finance, accounting, auditing, and relevant regulations and laws related to auditing.
Therefore, the School cooperates with ACCA on the principle of utilizing the strengths of both parties to launch a training program on finance, banking, risk management, application of information technology in audit and audit control; data management.
The target audience is bank employees, accountants, and auditors. The training content is based on ACCA's international standard training program, combined with practical knowledge and experience from SAA's audit activities and updated guidance on Vietnam's laws in the field of finance and banking.
Mr. Tô Quốc Hưng - ACCA National Director said that ACCA's training programs have been recognized and highly valued globally.
Especially, trainees participating in ACCA's training courses will receive internationally recognized certificates. Based on current practical needs, ACCA cooperates with SAA to supplement the training program with practical knowledge from SAA's audit activities and update relevant circulars and decrees related to the field of finance and banking issued by management agencies.
Mr. Tô Quốc Hưng proposed that ACCA will train in-depth on sustainable development, green finance, and enterprise valuation. These are contents that banks are very interested in and ACCA has a training program, which SAA needs to cooperate to supplement practical experience and Vietnam's laws and regulations.
Delegates suggested that to ensure the content and feasibility, suitability with practicality, training courses should take place within a period of 2-3 weeks. The content includes two parts: ACCA's standard training program (ACCA instructors implement) and content implemented by SAA is regulations, practical experience, common cases of errors in the banking field to warn and guide correction.
Agreeing with the above contents, Deputy Auditor General of Vietnam Bùi Quốc Dũng requested ACCA, SAA's Department VII, and the School to continue discussing and soon finalize the training programs. Initially, the units will implement 2 short-term training courses, which can be organized in combination with online training.
From the experience of training and issuing ACCA certificates, the Training and Professional Development School will research to soon issue the School's training certificates; cooperate with universities and associations to expand in-depth training courses in each field, and eventually organize regular training courses to improve the quality and reputation of the School and SAA in providing practical knowledge on finance, accounting, and auditing.
